Indigenous science of the future

CSIRO is planning for the future, examining what science and technology will look like in Australia, and for it as an organisation, in 2040.

We carried out two rounds of interviews with Indigenous CSIRO staff to gather their perspectives, asking what will science and technology look like, and how can CSIRO prepare? We then held workshops with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in CSIRO and reported on common ground. This work is being carried forward into organisation-wide planning.
